Good Food Box Program

The Good Food Box program is a food insecurity program, providing low cost access to basic nutritious foods. It’s offered bi weekly and designed to support individuals and families in stretching their food budget while increasing access to nutritious, high quality produce.

What’s in a Good Food Box?!

Each box weighs approximately 20lbs, filled with a variety of thoughtfully packed seasonal fruits and vegetables. We aim to provide a balanced mix of produce that is fresh, nutritious and good value. The contents will vary depending on availability and season, but may include:

  • Fresh fruits (such as apples, oranges, bananas, or berries)
  • Fresh vegetables (such as carrots, potatoes, lettuce, tomatoes, or peppers)
  • Occasionally, locally sourced or specialty produce when available

How much does it cost?

Each 20lbs box costs just $40, which means we are providing you with fresh foods at approximately $2 per pound.

How does it work?

Community Connections will bulk order a selection of 8-15 fruit and vegetable products that will be shared among the 20 available boxes. The food is specially purchased for this program.

The individual share will be packaged into cardboard boxes or paper bags in a fair allocation.

There will be a focus on staples and seasonal produce, aiming to buy locally when possible. Because we are buying in bulk, we are able to provide great value boxes.
