The Holiday Program
The holidays can be a difficult time for many in our community. Give the Gift of Choice this holiday season!
What is the Holiday Program?
This annual program seeks to assist clients with the unaffordability of the December holiday season. We do this by distributing gifts, gift cards and extra food to participants.
Who is eligible?
We take an approach similar to food bank eligibility. With an understanding of the program and its intentions, we believe the participants are the best people to decide their eligibility as they are the experts in their own life.

FAQs for Participants
Where do I pick up my holiday food hamper?
We are not distributing a traditional food hamper packed with extra food items, rather we will offer more foods for you to choose from at regular food bank hours. Additionally, if you requested a holiday ham, turkey or chicken those can be collected the week of December 19th.
Can I collect from the Holiday Program Gift Room more than once?
In an effort to allow equal distribution of gifts and donations, we ask that everyone collects from the room once. However, in the last few days the program is open there may be leftover items to be distributed at the Holiday Program coordinator’s discretion.

What about the Community Christmas Dinner?
The Community Christmas Dinner is NOT a program of Community Connections, it is an event organized by independent volunteers in the community every year. However, we usually are given sign-up sheets for the dinner, so look for those at Food Bank and Drop-In.
