The Poverty Reduction Strategy Report is a consultation that was carried out in Revelstoke. In February 2018 the BC Government put out a call for agencies to apply for a small grant ($2500) to consult with people who have “lived experience” in poverty. The consultations were intended to speak to people about their experiences living in poverty and their recommendations for the upcoming Government of BC Poverty Reduction Plan. As this project fit so well with the work that we do in the Social Justice Advocate program we applied for the grant, and were successful in receiving it. The following is the final report about those consultations, this report was forwarded to SPARC BC (contract administrators) who will then send it to the government.
